About Soup Recordings
Soup Recordings was established in September 2005 by Stuart Mort and is a digital label based in the UK. Initially started to push the popular energetic sound of the time labelled “Tech-Trance”, help it develop and essentially support its artists in giving them the exposure they deserved. Unfortunately vinyl still had quite a strong hold on the sales market for dance music and the label suffered financially, eventually leading to the release schedule being cancelled and the website being taken down in May 2007.
2009 has arrived and the mp3 sales market is stronger than ever allowing Soup Recordings to re-launch and push the sound it once so strongly supported. With a new ground breaking label management system called “Label Works” we expect to be around for the foreseeable future. As with all our releases the aim is to deliver quality over quantity and we hope to maintain a steady release schedule over the coming year and beyond.
We are always on the look out for new music and love all forms of dance music so please send your demo tracks to demos@souprecordings.co.uk

Shandro
Shandro Jahangier is young artist from Holland and began making music at the tender age of just 12 years old. In the early days playing on his synthesiser and putting his creative energy into his music was a popular pass time but like all budding artists, Shandro eventually felt the need to lay down his tracks in sequence and sought an introduction to early software packages such as Reason, Fruity Loops and Cubase.
Taking the usual influence from artists such as Tiesto, Marco V and Sander van Doorn he quickly developed his production skills and in 2005 signed his first record deal with us here at Soup Recordings.

Sebastian Spang
Born on the sixth of June 1979 Sebastiaan Spang, better known as Six Senses, grew up in the small town of de Krim in the Netherlands. Coming from a musical family Sebatsiaan was given the oppertunity to learn the piano while still in school, crafting his early influence in synthesizer music. Artists such as Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis were of great influence and would become his initial inspiration for starting to write and produce his own music.
Using an old Commodore 64 Sebastiaan began to write and record classical music but frustrated, switched to dance music creating hardcore and gabba using a program called Fast tracker. In that time he met a very open minded producer called Don Diablo who helped and guided him through his early years eventually introducing him to an evolving genre called trance.
Hooked on the melodies and sense of euphoria the listeners attained through hearing trance, Sebastiaan had found all the inspiration he would ever need and set to work on creating similar pieces of music. It was not long before he was snapped up by several labels under the name “Six Senses” – an alias he has had much success with creating tracks and remixes played around the world.
Under his own name Sebastiaan produces harder edged Tech Trance exclusively for the Soup Recordings stable.
